What is the use in knowing one’s longevity? The quality of life is more important than the longevity of a native.

How can one get a government job through an astrological combination?

Usually for a person to get into a government job there should be a good sustainable stable dasha bhukti in the chart.

Secondly the person should have a standard income yoga in the chart. These things will not be proclaimed in the chart as a big Raj yoga. There are many charts with normal yogas like the kendrasthanadhipati (4th, 7th or the 10th lord) sitting in the 2nd house or the 5th lord posited in the 2nd house or the 9th lord sitting in the 2nd house. The above mentioned combinations are good dhana yogas which will give stable income to the native.

With these yogas or combinations, if the native has a strong Sun or Jupiter posited in the 6th or 4th or in the 10th or even in the 7th house, the native will have a good chance to get into a government job.

In many cases, when the 10th lord is conjunct with Sun and has a benefic aspect of Jupiter, chances are very high to get into government sector.

If the 10th lord is along with the slow moving planet or along with Sun, there is a very good chance for a person to get into a government service.

What are the mutual effects of Mars in the first house with Venus and the Moon in the 7th house for a Libra ascendant?

Here Venus & Mars both have exchanged houses i.e. parivatana yoga has happened,

Venus being the lord of ascendant Libra and Mars being the lord of 7th house i.e. Aries have exchanged signs and are placed in the opposite signs. Does marriage always gets delayed due to 7th Saturn?

Saturn is a slow moving planet as it takes 2 1/2 years to transit over one sign. Moon on the other hand is the fastest as it takes only 2 1/2 days to transit over one sign.

This nature of Saturn has given its name Manda or Shani which in english language equivalent to being Slow.

Saturn if present in the 7th house and if that house falls in a fixed sign then there would be delay in the marriage. The timing of marriage does not only depend on Saturn’s position in the 7th house, but many other factors.

Saturn will cause delay but will never deny. The native will get married, but after a considerable delay.

If Saturn is malefically disposed in the 7th house, the native might go through bad experiences with regard to marriage. The native may also fall into depression.

If Saturn is retrograde and is aspected or associated by a fast moving planet like Venus, Mercury or Moon, then there will not be any delay, but the native may get married early.

If Saturn is weakly posited in the 7th house then the placement of Saturn may cause communication problems between the couple, but will not be causing delay, if the 7th lord is well placed.

Saturn is the 3rd & the 4th lord for Scorpio ascendant and when it is placed in the 8th house in the sign of Gemini it will give good ayu (life span). But for Scorpio lagna Saturn is a malefic planet and when it sits in a dusthana house it becomes more negative. It is not like other planets that when they are negative posited in a negative house will make them weak or less negative. In fact Saturn when placed in a dusthana like 8th house will become stronger than any other placement since it is the karaka for the 8th house.

This placement of Saturn will make the native stubborn with regard to his desires and passion. It will increase his desires and make him obsessive towards his wants. This can be controlled only by practicing satvik living else the native will go astray.

I have Saturn in the 10th house in Taurus ascendant and have problems with my bosses. What are some remedies?

 The 10th lord Saturn is posited in the 10th house in the sign of Aquarius which is its own house and has given rise to a very strong Sasa Yoga in this chart. With all that we do not know the position or the placement of the other planets in the chart which is actually very important to know as to how the 10th house is posited. Because only the position of Saturn in the 10th house and a Sasa yoga will not confirm the status of the lagnadhipati or the D-10 lagna which can only be known after the birth details are given.

Overall Saturn in the 10th house is a good position and it should give good development in the profession or career.

 Shani is vakri and vargottam in the 10th house in Tula Lagna, but the degree is 01-04. Does Shani give good results?

 Saturn is a Yoga karaka planet for Tula/Libra lagna since it is the 4th and the 5th lord. As per the given information, Saturn is placed in the 10th house in the sign of Cancer and is also vargottama.

We need to ensure that it is placed in the 10th house by also seeing the degrees of the ascendant but assuming that it is placed in the 10th house Saturn will give very good results in its dasha bhukti and in its sub dasha.

As we know by now, that planets have a very important role to  play in our day-to-day life and in each and everything we do (thats because without our knowing, planets control our way of thinking and hence control our actions). 

Now, in this article I am explaining the role of planets and their influence over our Sense Organs.

Before going into the relationship of planets over our Sense Organs, let us understand the planets to know their nature.

Sun by nature is bright, will throw light into matters, is the biggest luminary near to Earth and represents Fire and life.

Moon by nature is timid, cool, bright on a full moon day and dark on a new moon day, represents Water and again life.

Mars by nature is aggressive, loud, represents the vigour and blood in our body and hence also represents Fire and Earth.

Mercury is naive, young and fresh, it is active throughout the day and represents fresh Air and Earth.

Jupiter by nature represents Knowledge, Wisdom, Righteousness and Judgement and represents both Air, Water and Space.

Venus by nature signifies material, sensuousness, desire to relish and hence represents Earth.

Saturn by nature is cold, slow, old age and represents used Air.

Rahu by nature is impurity, sluggishness, barrier and hurdles and represents Smoke (emanating due to the conflict between Fire, Air, Water and Earth)

Ketu by nature is mute, inwards, nothingness, separation and represents non physical entities (lets call it for now as Ether)


Now with the above definitions of planets, the link between their nature and our senses are like follows : -

Sun represents our Eyes (the organ inclusive of the connection between the Eyes and the Brain), but in turn Moon represents our Eye Sight (what we see and what we perceive using the organ).

Mars represents our Ears (the organ which can hear sound), but Jupiter represents the hearing quality and our interpretation skills when we listen.

Mercury represents breathing process (inhaling fresh air) and skin (an important organ), but Saturn represents breathing out air (used air) and represents touch a feeling which is transmitted through skin. 

Rahu represents our Tongue (the organ which is used for tasting food), but Venus represents the ability to differentiate and appreciate taste.

Ketu represents the Nose (nostrils, breathing tract, sinus and all the hollow spaces in our body) and the sense of identifying smell and also signifies impairment, stoppage and neurological dysfunction and hence is a cause of many organ failure and ailments.


With the above facts, you should be now able to understand the malefic influences on different planets and its effect over our sense organs or its functioning. 

For example if Rahu afflicts Moon, then there might be cataract in the Eye, the age of infection is to be calculated using both transit and planetary period (Dasha and Bhuktis of planets).

If Rahu afflicts Sun (Rahugrasta Surya) will affect the organ itself. There may be retinal defects, there might be colour blindness and also in some cases blindness. 

This way one can understand the disposition of different planets and analyse as to whether they are afflicted and also understand the duration of affliction depending on whether the planet is fast moving (temporary problem) or whether it is slow moving (chronic problem).

When benefics conjunct Moon then the perception of the native and his interests will be influenced by the nature of the influencing planet.

In this case the native will be motivated to see good things, read good books and to watch good events.

Now the same Moon when afflicted by a malefic or retrograde planet will influence the native to go through objectionable matters which may not be appropriate to the society and hence can be deemed as a negative factor.

Saturn’s placement and the Sasa yoga play an important role in answering the above questions.

Sasa Yoga is conferred when Saturn is exalted or is in its own house (i.e., Capricorn and Aquarius) and is in Kendra (i.e., 1,4,7 or 10^th) from the Lagna/Ascendant. This yoga will give its desired results only when Saturn Maha dasha or Antar dasha or Pratyantar dasha is in operation.

Why Sasa Yoga is so important for Career Development?

This is because Saturn is the only planet which has the 10^th aspect i.e, aspect on the karmasthana and he is also the karaka for the 10^th house. No other planet has the 10^th aspect. Also in its dasha period if we take dashalord as the lagna/Ascendant then Saturn will aspect the 10^th house from there. During this period, Saturn will make all the corrections required for the native. It will actually reward or punish him depending upon its position in the natal chart. Sasa yoga plays an important part in the native’s career, well being, status, position in the society, source of income, etc.

For Aries (Mesha) Lagna – Saturn is the 10^th and 11^th Lord. Sasa Yoga will form when it is placed in Capricorn i.e., 10^th from aries. In this case, Saturn is the karmadhipati and upachaya sthanadhipati, hence this sasa yoga would be beneficial to the native and would help him to develop and progress in his career during saturn’s period. Also Sasa yoga is formed when Saturn is placed in the 7^th (Exalted in Libra) from Aries.  In this case Saturn will give mixed results as it is placed in the 7^th which possess a direct opposition to Lagna.

For Taurus Lagna – Saturn being the 9^th and 10^th lord when is placed in the 10^th house i.e. in Aquarius confers Both Sasa Yoga and Maha Raja Yoga. This position of Saturn would be very beneficial to the native and is ranked number 2 position. This will take the native to new heights and achieve higher goals in his life.

For Cancer Lagna – Saturn is the 7^th and the 8^th Lord. Though Saturn is not a pure benefic planet for this lagna but if it is posited in the 4^th i.e. in Libra, its exaltation point, it will bestow good results on the native. In this case 7^th Saturn i.e. in Capricorn though confers Sasa Yoga would be less beneficial as compared to Sasa yoga formed with Saturn in 4^th house.

For Leo Lagna – Saturn is the 6^th and the 7^th Lord. It is not a benefic planet for this lagna hence Sasa yoga formed in this scenario will not be as powerful as compared to other Lagna. Sasa yoga will form when Saturn will be posited in 7^th house i.e. in Aquarius. In this particular case, a Retro Saturn posited in 7^th will be more beneficial than a direct Saturn. A direct Saturn will boost and give more Ego to the native. Being a Leo lagna, the native would already be thinking very high of himself. So a direct Saturn in 7^th house will add on to this and pump up the Ego of the native resulting in negative results. This combination may spoil many good things in native’s life.

For all the four corners i.e. the dual rashis (Gemini, Virgo, Saggitarius and Pisces) Sasa Yoga is not applicable.

For Libra Lagna – Saturn is the 4^th and the 5^th Lord for this lagna. The best Sasa Yoga is formed when Saturn is in lagna itself. It makes the native very strong in character, personality and a determined person. The placement of Saturn in libra confers a very strong Dhana Yoga. The native will have immense wealth and he would not have to face any monetary problems in most of his life time. For Scorpio Lagna – Saturn is the 3^rd and the 4^th Lord. Saturn’s placement in the Aquarius confers Sasa Yoga. Being the lord of 3^rd house i.e. Upachaya Sthana , it would give good results but being the 4^th lord the results would be of mixed nature.

For Capricorn Lagna -  Saturn is the 1^st and the 2^nd lord. Sasa yoga is conferred when Saturn is placed either in the Lagna itself or in the 10^th House i.e. in libra. Out of these two placements, Saturn posited in the Libra is the best Sasa Yoga formed. We can also rank this position of Saturn as the number 1 followed by Taurus lagna (Saturn in Aquarius) and 3^rd position by Libra lagna (Saturn in Libra).

Why Capricorn Lagna Sasa Yoga formed in Libra is the strongest?

Saturn being the lagna and the 2^nd lord posited in 10^th gives immense strength to the horoscope. This is the strongest Dhana and Karma Yoga. Also Lagna lord posited in 10^th confers Amala Yoga. This position of Saturn gives poornaayu (good longevity).

For Aquarius Lagna – Saturn is the 1^st and the 12^th Lord. Saturn’s position in Lagna itself confers Sasa Yoga. This Sasa yoga would give normal results. The native will see both ups and downs during Saturn’s period because along with the lagna lord , it is also the 12^th Lord. The native can immigrate to foreign lands if the chart is supported by other planets like Retro Jupiter/Rahu, etc.
